4th of July Celebration of Independence

Drop in to see how the summer 2009 TOMS HQ interns geared up for 4th of July with a festive Style Your Sole party, complete with a slew of art supplies and.... waffles? Drawing on fireworks, Uncle Sam and classic red, white and blue for inspiration, they transformed these 10 pairs of white, canvas TOMS into one-of-a-kind kicks that were perfect for the long weekend of American tradition. Style Your Sole!

Did you customize TOMS for 4th of July? We want to see your photos! Upload them to the TOMS Facebook Page Wall and share your patriotism with TOMS fans around the world.

In this video:

Interns Phyllis and Gloria gathered all the summer 2009 HQ interns for a 4th of July-themed Style Your Sole party at the intern house in Playa del Rey, CA. With a large sheet of paper on the driveway, they set up paints, markers and stencils. Matt and Chelsea manned the grill, keeping the others supplied with classic American cuisine while they worked.

Although custom white, canvas TOMS were the top choice at this party, Maddi and Chelsea opted for blue and red Wrap Boots to show off their patriotic side.

As decorating got underway, Ivy went for colorful dots, Paul used a fly swatter to achieve a textured pattern and stencils became the perfect choice for those who were less industrious. The designs were as unique and diverse as the interns themselves, who hail from all parts of the country.

Despite appearances by the house cat, and Paul providing color commentary on the condiments, the custom 4th of July TOMS stole the spotlight. The TOMS interns definitely represented both their country and creativity during the holiday weekend with their killer canvas TOMS.
