Since TOMS got its start three years ago, the guys of HANSON have been avid supporters of the One for One movement. Whether it was simply wearing the shoes and telling the TOMS story, organizing 24,902 one-mile barefoot walks (covering enough distance to circle the globe) which raised money for Friends of TOMS, or funding other programs to help fight poverty and disease in Africa, Isaac, Taylor and Zac have been authentic inspirers of change. The guys are familiar faces at TOMS too. Some full-time employees actually joined them on the road in 2007 to sell the HANSON limited-edition Great Divide TOMS and share the One for One movement with the incredible HANSON fans.
HANSON encourages their fans to get involved by participating in their one-mile barefoot walks, held at each stop on their tour. The walks raise awareness for the lack of simple amenities, like shoes, available in Africa and around the world. Hanson and their fans have already completed 24,902 miles together, which means they have traveled the distance around the world and are several thousand miles into their second lap. The next lap of their Walk Around The World will continue before each concert at venues and college campuses on their Use Your Sole tour, where tour mates HelloGoodbye, Steel Train & Sherwood will be taking part in the one-mile treks as well. The Use Your Sole tour kicks off in the trio’s hometown of Tulsa, OK on September 30th and finishes off in San Diego, CA on November 8th. The tour will also feature Steel Train and Sherwood.
